SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting Guests with transactions and for balancing various bank drawers within the Cage Department, maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

includes the following;

• Accurately balances assigned bank averaging $100,000.
• Responsible for balancing money received and disbursed.
• Promotes positive Guest Relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
• Pays out large jackpots.
• Pulls and counts mutilated money, preparing it to be returned to the bank.
• Redeems coupons, coins, chips and tokens for coin and/or cash for Guests, in a courteous, timely manner.
• Redeems foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates for the various currencies received.
• Redeems and validates EZ Play tickets for Guests in a courteous, timely manner.
• Conducts operation of basic slot machinery, such as; jet sort, bill counter, and calculator.
• Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Brings disputes and unusual Guest activities to the attention of the Shift Manager.
• Maintains a working knowledge of facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise Guests of same, whenever possible.
• Assists other Cashiers within the Cage area, as needed.
• Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Vocational training or related experience required.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to secure appropriate licensing from the gaming commission.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Must be able to read, interpret and apply instructions and technical terminology furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:
• Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:
• Talk and hear;
• See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;
• Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch and/or crawl;
• Handle objects, tools and controls; reach with arms and hands.
• Lift and/or move objects weighing up to ten (10) pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
• A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
• A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
• Second-hand cigarette / cigar smoke.
