When you decide to host an event at Grand Casino, your initial contact will be with a Business Account Executive. He or she will help make all your meeting and hotel room reservations, coordinate special needs, plan recreational activities, settle terms and conditions, and make payment arrangements. If you have any issues with scheduling your event, need to cancel, or have hotel room issues, your Business Account Executive will be the point of contact.

A Banquet Coordinator will be assigned to your event to help with all on-site details, including meeting times, room setup, audio-visual needs, and food and beverage requests. He or she will contact you approximately thirty days prior to your arrival date to review and finalize plans for your event. The more information you provide us, the better we will be able to prepare and plan the service aspects of your event.

Function Rooms

Based on the number of attendees and the nature of the event, your Business Account Executive will reserve a room for you. Grand Casino reserves the right to adjust room size to fit group size.

Room Rental Rates

Room rent may apply based on event needs.

Standard room rental includes:

  • One-time standard setup of theater, classroom, u-shape, conference, or banquet with table linen.
  • One registration table
  • One head table
Standard rental is for a maximum of eight hours between the hours of 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. There is a 25% increase from standard rates for events lasting longer than eight hours, before 6 a.m. or after 6 p.m. Events that go past their scheduled end time are subject to additional labor fees.


Floor Plans and Seating

A Banquet Coordinator will help you choose a facility based on the number of guaranteed attendees and the nature of your event.

• Grand Ballroom 1: 14,000 square feet
The maximum capacity for the Grand Ballroom is 1,600. This Ballroom can be separated into three smaller, separate function rooms. Each smaller room can accommodate up to 450 people.

• Grand Ballroom 2: 2,400 square feet
The Ballroom can accommodate up to 264 people. It can be divided into 6 separate rooms, each with a maximum capacity of 20.

Your Banquet Coordinator can custom-create a room diagram specifically for your event in any of our standard setups. Banquet seating will be at our discretion unless otherwise specified.

Menu

Continental breakfast, buffet, or dinner – we have a variety of menu options that suit any event. If you can’t find it on the menu, our chef will customize a menu to meet your group’s specific needs.

Linen

We offer white as the standard color for table linens with a variety of color cloth napkins for meal functions. Ask your Banquet Coordinator for available options. Other colors and inventory may be obtained at an additional charge.

Decorations

For banquet meal functions, tables are set with simple votive candles. If you prefer to order flowers, your Banquet Coordinator will work with local florists to create arrangements for your event. All other decorating is your choice. Please advise our Banquet Coordinator of your plans.

Your Banquet Coordinator can help with any banners and signs that you would like hung.

Audio/Visual Equipment

Grand Casino can help coordinate all equipment, staging, lighting, and electronic presentation needs. Talk to your Banquet Coordinator at least one week before your event to finalize your needs.

Smoking Policy

The meeting rooms & foyer in the Convention Center are non-smoking. The pre-convene area is designated for smoking, and a portion of it can be designated non-smoking for a conference that has booked all of the ballroom space. This request should be done through the Banquet Coordinator or Convention Sales Associate. 

Internet

Wireless Internet is available in the Convention Center.

Freight, Deliveries, and Electrical

Space at Grand Casino Mille lacs is limited. If you need to store materials before your event, this should be arranged in advance with your Banquet Coordinator.
