Lend A Hand

Lend a Hand 2015

13 Years. Countless Home Improvements. Many Happy Hearts.

For the last twelve years, the “Lend a Hand” program at Grand Casino Mille Lacs has worked closely with area businesses to provide families in need with much-needed home repairs and maintenance projects.

Grand Casino Mille Lacs is NOW accepting nominations of families who may be in need of help for the 13th annual Lend a Hand program.

In 2004, the Facilities department at Grand Casino Mille Lacs began the Lend a Hand (LAH) program. The LAH program is an opportunity for Grand Casino to give back to the local community by showcasing the many talents the Facilities department has to offer. Thirteen years later the program has grown significantly, making a difference to more than 19 families.

The Grand Casino Mille Lacs’ facilities team coordinates material donations with its valued partners. From there, more than twenty-five Associates work together to complete a one-day makeover that includes interior and exterior updates as well as landscaping for a family in need.

The “Lend a Hand” program at Grand Casino Mille Lacs has worked closely with area businesses to provide families in need with much needed home repairs and maintenance projects for the last eleven years. This year we have selected Rhonda and Jim of Princeton, MN as our 2016 recipients. Rhonda and Jim have tried to make necessary home improvements, but severe health problems have prevented them from completing any work around the house.

We are honored and excited to help this family, but know that this program wouldn’t be such a success without donations that we receive from area businesses and the efforts contributed by our Associates.

A special thanks to the following companies who are donating supplies and materials for this Lend a Hand project.

  • Pro-Build Inc. Brainerd.
  • Nor-Son Inc. Brainerd
  • Landsberg Landscaping Brainerd
  • Sherwin Williams
  • Jim’s Mille Lacs Disposal
